The Niagara 2022 Canada Summer Games will take place in Ontario’s Niagara Region to celebrate Canada’s top young athletes and Niagara’s art and culture. Niagara is also committed to honouring their Indigenous communities, while showcasing the region’s heritage and innovation throughout its history. Consisting of more than 5,000 athletes and coaches, the Canada Summer Games will welcome our nation’s next generation of national, international, and Olympic and Paralympic champions as the best young developing athletes from across the nation assemble to compete in Canada’s largest multi-sport event.
The Niagara 2022 Canada Summer Games will feature a total of 18 sports — including the return of lacrosse after a 36-year absence and the first-ever rugby sevens competition. Additionally, over 4,000 volunteers will be essential to the success of the Games
Among the qualities we’re looking for is an appreciation for the transformative power of sport, a powerful work ethic, a creative and entrepreneurial spirit and a deep penchant for collaboration. Working a Games, say those who’ve done it, is one of the most rewarding, chaotic, exhilarating, exhausting, challenging, euphoric times of their careers. A role with Niagara 2022 Canada Summer Games is destined to provide all of that, and likely much more. The 2022 Canada Games Host Society is committed to building a skilled, diverse team reflective of Canadian society. As a result, we promote employment equity and encourage applications from women, Aboriginal persons, persons with a disability or members of a visible minority group, and regardless of sexual identity, gender identification or gender expression.
In order to meet the challenge of providing a phenomenal experience for the athletes and other participants at the Niagara 2022 Canada Summer Games, we are building an energetic, passionate and dedicated team of staff and volunteers.
