Canada Games National Partners have played an integral part in elevating the Canada Games brand.
It is the corporate support that allows us to go beyond base funding and meet hosting standards to deliver a memorable event that can create so much opportunity.
Corporate support allows our athletes to experience top notch venues, the best in national competition, the best in coaching and more fans and spectators than they have ever seen before.
The Canada Games are a stepping stone towards international and Olympic competition, all thanks to the support of our tremendous national partners.
In 2008, there were no Canada Games national partners. Today, 14 partners have engaged to take advantage of on-going visibility and continuity through a consistent relationship, including our most recent partnerships with Konica-Minolta, Panago Pizza, Shaw and OPIN. And thanks to all of their support, our momentum grows.
Here is a snapshot of what our remarkable national partners have done for us in recent Canada Games:
SportChek, a founding national partner as part of FGL along with Sports Experts, was the first National Partner to sign on back in 2008. They have been a dedicated partner and are one of the most recognized brands of sport retail in Canada.

As part of the partnership, Shaw also provides spectators and athletes with access to its Shaw Go Wifi network.
Shaw also provides media in kind (MIK) which is used to showcase athletes expected to perform well in the Games. Take a look at the video below that was produced by Shaw in the lead up of the 2015 Canada Winter Games.
Panago Pizza signed on as a national partner in time for the 2015 Canada Winter Games where they fueled athletes throughout the Games.

Panago was also heavily involved in athlete send-offs/athlete pep rallies for certain Provinces and Territories, providing food and beverages as support.
Their key activation of the past has been to produce the athlete gift that each competitor receives at the Games and to outfit the volunteer teams, the backbone of the Canada Games.
